The Kickstarter campaign for Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone has been fully funded in less than four days, thanks to 1,400 backers and counting.
Thanks to the many fans getting involved in bringing the sequel of Chernobylite to life, developers The Farm 51 have now committed to a first-person combat mode. This will allow players to decide how they want to experience the upcoming game, in first person or third, with the choice to switch between the two. The team has also reached their first stretch goal, which allows them to add more features and content to the game. This includes the original first-person weapons from Chernobylite, such as the Blaster, Crossbow, Makarov and other “toys”.
Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone is a post-apocalyptic RPG that features a huge, realistic, open world that is free to explore. Although Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone features a non-linear story, the main character’s goal is to try and escape the Exclusion Zone and return home. However, depending on how quickly you evolve, adapt, and strategise will determine if you become the hunter or hunted. You’ll break the barriers of time and space as you fight in the most dangerous place on earth. However, in the daytime, the Zone almost seems beautiful, but when the night comes, so does terror, which you’ll need to face every night.
Although Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone has no official release date, it is expected to launch in 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Those who don’t want to miss out on the post-apocalyptic game can also Wishlist it on Steam, and the Kickstarter campaign is still live for those who want to contribute.
