Polish company CI Games has announced that its Warsaw-based internal team behind the popular and successful Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 has been rebranded to Underdog Studio.
The decision is a result of CI Games belief that after 11 years and continual improvement in the SGW series, that a name more befitting of the team’s determination.
“We chose the name Underdog Studio as we felt it perfectly encapsulated the plucky spirit and hardworking attitude of the development team,” said Kenton Fletcher – Lead Creative Producer, Underdog Studio.
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 has been a success for CI Games, with the game outselling its predecessor and receiving the series’ best critical reception.
I’m a big fan of the SGW series, scoring Contracts 2 an 8.5 in my review earlier this year.
CI Games currently has two internal teams, with the second names Hexworks, who are currently working on Lords of the Fallen 2.
