In a recent announcement, Crytek has revealed that PC players will be able to play Hunt: Showdown during multiple Closed Alpha test phases this winter (or summer for us Australians).
Hunt: Showdown’s Producer Fatih Özbayram explained why the company is excited to get the game in the player’s hands.
“Closed Alpha will be our first chance to get player feedback, and we are really excited to see how they will interact with the game”
For those unfamiliar with the title, Hunt: Showdown is a competitive, first-person, multiplayer bounty hunting game with a heavy focus on PvE elements.
Take a look at the game’s trailer below:
Back in August, our very own Zach Jackson was able to sit down and chat to the game’s Lead Designer to gain some more insight into the project and the plans the development team had for it. As alluded to in that interview, the game has now been confirmed to release on Steam Early Access.
“After initial tests with a very limited amount of players we are planning to invite more and more testers with each phase. This is the first step in building a close relationship with our community and integrating their feedback into our development process, something we plan on continuing—and intensifying—during Early Access.”
For those interested in testing the game out during its Alpha stage, head over to the game’s FB, Twitter, or website for more details.
Players will be randomly selected and will be notified if they were successful via email.
