Despite shadow dropping on Nintendo Switch a month ago, other platform owners have had to bide their time to get their hands on the remastered version of Crysis after it was delayed for additional polish in early July. Thankfully the wait won’t be too long, with Crytek announcing overnight that Crysis Remastered will launch on PS4, Xbox One and PC on September 18.
Co-developed by Inversion developer Saber Interactive, Crysis has been given a visual makeover, supporting up to 8K visuals, HDR and other visual and performance boons. Furthermore, both the PS4 Pro and Xbox One X versions will feature ray tracing, with the PC version additionally supporting hardware-based ray tracing on Nvidia RTX GPUs.
