Release delays for the Polish studio CD Projekt Red’s upcoming open world RPG, Cyberpunk 2077, have been keeping most anticipating fans on the edge of their seat, jumping on any scrap of information possible. Well, today we have been given the gift of good news (even if it is just a small tidbit).
Bandai Namco have officially announced that Cyberpunk 2077 has received an R18+ rating in Australia and will be released “…uncensored as the publisher intended”.
Cyberpunk 2077 has been rated R18+ in Australia and is arriving uncensored as the publisher intended. Great news, so make sure you pre-order today for the September 17 release! pic.twitter.com/QL2dc1kAba

The R18+ rating, at this time, has been given due to:
- High impact themes
- Sex
- Violence
- References to sexual violence
Great news then, for fans that were concerned about the potential for an Australian release to be modified to fit within our current R18+ ratings guidelines.
Cyberpunk 2077 is due to release September 17 on PS4, Xbox One and PC.
