Dead Cells DLC Developers Are Moving On To Make A New Prince Of Persia Title

The Rogue Prince of Persia is coming to Steam Early Access later this year

Evil Empire, the studio who took care of the post-launch support of Dead Cells recently announced that they were moving on to other projects – and it appears that one such project is the next Prince of Persia game, apparently titled The Rogue Prince of Persia.

In details shared on Insider Gaming, sources make mention that the title is intended to be another Roguelite and will launch in Early Access on Steam, with the intention to provide “constant free updates and evolve over time based on community feedback.”

Now one might be quick to say that such a concept for a Prince of Persia game would be obvious given the reception of the most recent title, Prince Persia: The Lost Crown, which absolutely slammed to the top of the charts for its incredible release – but according to sources, this new game has been in development for four years already. This means it at least didn’t start life as a trend chaser, but hopefully it shares some DNA with both Dead Cells and The Lost Crown.

There are no details as to when the game will be formally announced, but it is said to be targeting Early Access later this year.

Did you enjoy the awesome action of The Lost Crown? Are you hungry to see what the Dead Cells post-launch devs can do with the Prince of Persia? Let us know in the comments or on social media.

Shoutouts to Insider Gaming.
