Demo For OId-School Survival Horror Game Summerford Now Available On Steam

Get a taste of the horror

Announced in early 2019, Summerford is the work British developers Noisy Valley Studio and is inspired by the ‘golden age’ of survival horror, such as Resident Evil and Silent Hill. Summerford is set for release in Q4 2020 on PC, with no other platforms confirmed at this stage (although I suspect that date will move in 2021).

As part of the Steam Autumn Festival, the team has released a demo of the game for players to try out, and have encouraged anyone who plays the demo to leave feedback. You can find the demo here.

The game’s Steam synopsis reads like this:

The island of Summerford was the site of the United Kingdom’s first nuclear power station, and a popular family tourist destination.

In 1986, a catastrophic reactor failure occurred at the nuclear plant. Following a botched evacuation effort, the island of Summerford was placed into a complete and permanent quarantine.

For 34 years, no civilian has stepped foot on Summerford.

Until now.
