DOOM: The Dark Ages Will See The Slayer Take On Some Cosmically Cool Baddies

Loving this craft

DOOM: The Dark Ages is promising some hot new places to spill demonic blood – and the most recent trailer for the game is introducing one that might be just a tad familiar, albeit not in a DOOM-way.

The Cosmic Realm is one of Lovecraftian delights and new villainous mooks to splatter – including an incredible cameo from the big tentacle-faced guy himself:

Game director Hugo Martin gives us a little tour of this twisted realm and details just what kind of new meat awaits us.

One of these foes is the Cosmic Baron, a twin arm-bladed dork who looks hungry to cleave the Doomslayer in twain – but that doesn’t stop him from coughing up some ephemeral sawblades to fling your way. Skilled players can of course keep an eye out for the green-tinted attacks to make well-timed counter attacks and parries – banishing this loser back to the dirt where he belongs.

There is a proper narrative reason for the mysterious cosmic goons teaming up with the more traditional Hellborne forces, but we must wait for the game itself to discover why. We also get a glimpse of the incredible Reaver Chain-shot, which we showed off in a video not too long ago.
