Dragon’s Dogma 2’s Release Date Has Arisen Alongside A Dramatic New Trailer

March has Arisen

During a showcase this morning, Capcom announced that Dragon’s Dogma 2 will release on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC on March 22, 2024.

Following a cheeky Steam page slip-up that showed the release info early, this morning’s Dragon’s Dogma 2 showcase officially lifted the lid on the launch info, while also running through a bunch of new details about the upcoming sequel, including new enemies, locations and vocations.

This follow-up to the 2012 action hit sees you playing as the Arisen once again, with your heart having been ripped out of your chest by a dragon. This time around, players will explore the realms of Vermund, a human kingdom, and Battahl, home of the Beastren (anthropomorphic animal creatures). Outside of world-building, the showcase introduced one of the new enemies from the sequel, the colossal bronze statue, Talos. Stomping through the world, this gargantuan foe is quite the spectacle, and I’m sure felling it will be a challenge.

Players will also have some expanded character options, such as taking the form of a Beastren. Additionally, there will be a new vocation (character class) to choose from in the form of the Trickster, who comes complete with a unique weapon, illusionary tactics and buffing abilities. If you want to learn more about the new features coming to Dragon’s Dogma 2, you can watch the full showcase HERE.
