Dream Events Revealed For Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games Tokyo 2020

Mario & Sonic Downhill Jam

The Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games series is one that has always looked to make its impact leading into the worlds biggest athletic competition. So far the newest addition to the series, Tokyo 2020, will include new events like surfing and sport climbing, and a 2D classic event mode where you play as retro sprites of characters in events in commemoration of the Tokyo 1964 Olympics.

But that’s not it, with Nintendo today revealing all new Dream Events for Tokyo 2020. There will be three new events:

  • Dream Racing – Sonic Riders fans rejoice as this will probably be the closest thing you will get to a new Riders game. Ride and grind your way through futuristic tracks collecting rings and power ups on your way to the finish line.
  • Dream Shooting – Run around an open arena shooting targets in a competitive shooting event.
  • Dream Karate – Compete against up to three people in a ring where knockdowns will light up panels in your colour, with the goal seeming to have the most panel in your colour by times end.
