E3 2017: Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus Announced

BJ’s back!

During their 2017 E3 presentation today, publisher Bethesda finally announced the long-awaited sequel to 2014’s Wolfenstein: The New Order.

Titled Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, the game takes place after the events of The New Order and sees lead protagonist BJ Blazkowicz putting together a ragtag crew of resistance fighters to tackle the Nazi regime in America, the Land of the not-so-free-anymore.

The trailer begins with an old-fashioned Lassie inspired take on the game’s setting with a young girl calling upon her Panzerhund to assist two men in need of help before transitioning into some good old BJ Nazi killing madness.

The New Order had a surprisingly captivating narrative and it appears that The New Colossus is going down the same narrative-lead path.

America, 1961. Your assassination of Nazi General Deathshead was a short-lived victory. Despite the setback, the Nazis maintain their stranglehold on the world. You are BJ Blazkowicz, aka “Terror-Billy,” member of the Resistance, scourge of the Nazi empire, and humanity’s last hope for liberty. Only you have the guts, guns, and gumption to return stateside, kill every Nazi in sight, and spark the second American Revolution.

Developed by Swedish outfit MachineGames, The New Colossus continues Bethesda’s trend of announcing and releasing games in the same with a release date of October 27, 2017, for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
