These are certainly strange times we’re living in, and though major retail chains are among the last holdouts in this series of pandemic-induced lockdowns, there’s no doubt that things are still looking pretty dicey for brick-and-mortar stores.
While EB Games is still operating as per usual in Australia (with government-mandated social distancing measures in place, of course), a new announcement today could certainly help to put them in a better position should stricter lockdowns occur. As of right now, the retailer is offering a new EB Games eGift Card service, meaning customers can buy digital gift cards on the EB Games website and redeem them for goods online or in stores.
The digital gift cards can be purchased here, alongside digital cards for Zing as well as digital Xbox and PlayStation wallet top-ups. Great news for gamers who aren’t currently able to leave the house but don’t want to or aren’t able to use a debit/credit card online.
