Elden Ring Is Getting An Official Board Game Adaptation

Steamforged Games has announced Elden Ring: The Board Game, an official tabletop adaptation of the massively popular video game.

With a Kickstarter campaign set to take place soon, Elden Ring: The Board Game will have one to four players exploring the many locations within the Lands Between, fighting foes, gaining strength and, eventually, going toe-to-toe with boss enemies such as Godrick the Grafted and Margit, the Fell Omen. The adaptation will look to emulate the game’s difficulty by implementing dice-free combat that will force players to “strategise and adapt their plans during each encounter.”

Steamforged Games are no strangers to adapting video games into a tabletop experience, having previously developed and published Dark Souls: The Board Game, Resident Evil: The Board Game and Horizon Zero Dawn: The Board Game to name a few. Personally, I can attest to the quality of Dark Souls: The Board Game, with its punishing difficulty and tense encounters doing a great job of evoking the feel of a FromSoftware game.
