Expect To Hear More About Overwatch 2 During BlizzCon In February

Right around the corner

Despite Overwatch releasing back in 2015, Blizzard’s hero shooter is still kicking along with a huge fanbase thanks to constant free updates, characters, maps and events. Big things are on the horizon for Overwatch as well, with a sequel being announced during last year’s (2019) BlizzCon.

Overwatch 2 will feature full PvE modes, new heroes a new game mode and your obvious graphical enhancements that you would expect from a sequel. Aside from a brief cinematic trailer, however, we haven’t heard a great deal from this follow-up. As it turns out, we won’t have to wait too much longer to get some fresh info.

During a developer update regarding the new free-for-all map Kanezaka, the game’s director Jeff Kaplan mentioned that announcements regarding Overwatch 2 will be made in February of 2021 during BlizzCon Online. For obvious reasons, BlizzCon will not have a physical presence this time around, but it will still be streamable, so get keen to learn more about Overwatch 2 (and hopefully Diablo 4). Here is Kaplan’s dev update:
