Final Fantasy VII Remake Boxart Revealed

Final Fantasy VII Remake Boxart Revealed

We’re inching ever closer to 2020, and that means we’re also getting a little closer every day to the release of Final Fantasy VII Remake, as unbelievable as that may have once seemed.

This year has been especially good for the FFVIIR hype train, with tons of new footage and gameplay details coming to light. Something we didn’t have up until now though; the game’s official retail cover art. Well, it’s here, and it looks mighty fine. Check a look:

Looks tight! Noticeably, it’s a redone version of the same box art as the original game’s North American release. Seeing as this image has been shared by PlayStation in multiple regions, it’s safe to say we’ll be getting the same art here in Australia despite us having the (arguably better) PAL version art for the original FF games on PS1. Here’s hoping for a reverse cover or something?

At any rate, this just puts us one more step closer to the actual release of this actual, real game on March 3rd, 2020 for PlayStation 4. Phew.

Kieron started gaming on the SEGA Master System, with Sonic the Hedgehog, Alex Kidd and Wonder Boy. The 20-odd years of his life since have not seen his love for platformers falter even slightly. A separate love affair, this time with JRPGs, developed soon after being introduced to Final Fantasy VIII (ie, the best in the series). Further romantic subplots soon blossomed with quirky Japanese games, the occasional flashy AAA action adventure, and an unhealthy number of indie gems. To say that Kieron lies at the center of a tangled, labyrinthine web of sexy video game love would be an understatement.
