Forever Skies Early Access Launch Has Been Delayed To 2023

Expect a bigger and better Early Access launch

The Early Access launch of the upcoming survival game Forever Skies has been delayed into 2023 the game’s developer Far From Home announced.

The news was made via a lengthy blog post that explained why the team decided to push the launch from late 2022 to the first half of 2023. The long and short of it is that the amount of interest in the game has surpassed the developer’s expectations, with more than 80,000 players taking the demo for a spin. As such, they want to ensure that players who jump into Early Access are getting the best experience, even if the game will change over time.

We’re now looking at a much larger influx of players picking up the game during Early Access than originally predicted. So we want to lay down better foundations for more of our core mechanics so everyone can get a much clearer idea of what else to expect from the future of Forever Skies.”

Far From Home goes into detail on what players can expect from the game when it does launch in Early Access, with a look at what happens under the dust, deeper location variety, improved airship repair systems and customisation, and an improved scientific approach to survival. The developer also highlights its commitment to ensuring that the co-op experience is something that the game is being built around, and is a feature it plans to work on during the Early Access period.

We went hands-on with Forever Skies a few months ago and found ourselves excited about its potential, with Ed Darling writing that “If you liked SubnauticaGreen Hell, The Forest, Ark: Survival Evolved, Chernobylite or anything similar, you should be very excited for your upcoming adventure.”
