Garden Story Is Heading To Switch This Winter

No sour grapes here

Originally announced in an Indie World Showcase last year, Garden Story captured my heart and interest straight away. Since then new details have been scarce but yesterday developer Picogram showed off a new trailer in the Summer Game Fest livestream as a part of E3.

In Garden Story you play as a grape, called Concord of all things, and you are the guardian of The Grove. Between chilling with other residents you need to make sure to keep everyone safe by whooping a few monster asses.  You also need to find resources to craft and repair things.

While a specific release date is yet to be revealed, we now know that Garden Story will be arriving on Switch and Steam this winter. The game has adorable pixel art and wonderfully chill music, I can’t wait to experience this game later this year. Check out the trailer below if you need some convincing:

Who doesn’t new a kawaii pixel game to lift them up every now and again? Fingers crossed for a firm release date soon! Garden Story is releasing exclusively on Nintendo Switch and PC.
