Mounts in World of Warcraft can be serious business. Take for example, an exclusive mount that could only be gained via a rare card in the long defunct World of Warcraft Trading Card Game – and has since become a hot item for sellers on eBay.
And then Blizzard decided to give it away for free.

As someone who does not own the mount, I feel pretty stoked at the chance to save a lot of cash and instead just watch some WoW streams – but I can empathise with long time players that perhaps considered this incredibly rare mount to be the crown jewel in their collection. Did some people get upset? Absolutely – and arguably they were entitled to do so.
But for the rest of us, we can quietly add this bad boy to our dragon collection and pretend like we had it before it was considered ‘uncool’.
