It sucks to be a big ass tree in the World of Warcraft. Everything from lumber hungry goblins, to pyromaniac undead banshee women want to see you chipped, chopped and outright toasted.
And now we can add a primal dragon man to the list – with the cinematic for the latest content update Guardians of the Dream showing our fiery fella crafting a big ol’ axe for the latest sapling to get sighted for removal.
Stop Fyrakk 🔥

All jokes aside, it’s a cracker of a cinematic. Matt Mercer (of Critical Role and just general ‘cool guy’ fame) just gobbles up scenery as the fantastic fire gremlin that is Fyrakk, delightfully dishing on why his siblings are big ol’ dorks and he is absolutely on the right track to being the biggest bad to ever be big and/or bad.
The content will be dropping on November 7, right after BlizzCon, and will see players rush to the defence of the new world tree, Amirdrassil. It’s going to be a huge event for players, with our own chat with the developers revealing the full expanse of their additions to the game – bringing forth a raid experience where players will actually ride their cherished expansion dragons to chase down just one of the many baddies.
I am personally gunning for Fyrakk to somehow make a grand escape and become a recurring villain the series. We did it with Kael’thas, why not the new guy?
