Godfall: Ultimate Edition Is Coming To Xbox Consoles In April

The fallen rise again

Godfall: Ultimate Edition is officially heading to Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Steam on April 7.

The former PS5 launch title, developed by Counterplay Games and published by Gearbox Publishing, will be making the transition to Steam and Xbox consoles with the base game, the Fire & Darkness expansion, and the three content updates – Primal, Lightbringer, and Exalted included.

The Xbox X|S version of the game will feature specific enhancements for that hardware, including support for Dolby Vision and variable refresh rate. Gearbox Publishing has also confirmed that Godfall: Ultimate Edition will have all previous pre-order bonuses bundled in the package.

Godfall launched alongside the PS5 in November 2020, with a PS4 version of the game releasing in August 2021. The action RPG received mixed reviews upon launch, as we gave it a 5, stating that “Impressively non-existent story, incredibly derivative art, classes which mean absolutely nothing, a deceptively small loot pool, technical issues up the wazoo, terrible endgame design and a horrific netcode all add up to a visually pleasing but soulless affair that can’t even begin to escape being categorised as anything more than a flashy tech demo.”

Importantly, the Fire & Darkness expansion, which is included in the Ultimate Edition, was received much more positively by critics. At any rate, Xbox and Steam gamers will have access to the most complete Godfall experience yet.
