Gunbrella’s Release Date Has Been Announced And It’s Only Weeks Away

The forecast is calling for umbrellas

Devolver Digital has announced that Gunbrella will release on Switch and PC on September 13.

Developed by Doinksoft, the team behind Gato Roboto, Gunbrella is a side-scrolling action-adventure title with Metroidvania elements mixed in. The game’s noir-punk setting and pixel art style go a long way to make it stand out, but it’s the titular Gunbrella that takes it a step further, acting as a weapon, a traversal tool and a shield all in one.

We recently got a chance to chat with Gunbrella’s Gameplay Director, Cullen Dwyer, as we discussed inspirations, other everyday items that could be turned into weapons and heaps more. We also went hands-on with Gunbrella last year for a preview, taking the versatile rain-stopper for a spin.
