Helldivers 2 is welcoming it’s first post-release content with a teaser trailer to show us what is available in the new premium warbond (the world’s friendliest pseudo battle pass) and I have to say, it’s making the hairs on the back of my neck stand up.
But that may just be the static discharge in the air.

A new range of slick duds await people who wish to dip their toe into this electrifying warbond, with all the weapon varieties seemingly offering new and exciting ways to zap and shock your foes. Just take a look at some of the new boomsticks on offer, and be aware of how dangerous they sound to both enemies and friends:
- LAS-16 Sickle
A sweet laser rifle that fires in short bursts. And it doesn’t need reloading. Just watch for overheating or shove a new heatsink in there. - SG-8P Punisher Plasma
Exploding plasma rounds sound deadly… because they are, to aliens and allies! This modified Punisher shotgun is as fun as it is fearsome. - ARC-12 Blitzer
Project an arc of close-range lightning, or charge it up to fire off powerful bolts. Good for taking out multiple targets and giving you more time to pick a celebration emote. - G-23 Stun Grenade
Does what it says on the tin – a ripper little thrown item to blast and stun a huddle of ravenous dorks. This one has me buzzing, because it may be a great way to get away from a throng of advancing baddies. - LAS-7 Dagger Pistol
A sidearm that is a laser pistol. Not a ‘PEW PEW’ laser, a long ‘ZZZZZZORT’ kind of laser. Like a laser pointer that only wishes harm.
The truly glorious thing is that all premium Warbond options in the game can be purchased with SpaceBux within the game – and you can grab those suckers while out on a mission. So if you don’t want to open your wallet you don’t need to.
So if you are hungry to start slingin’ lightning – make sure to save a few space dollars for when the Cutting Edge Warbond officially launches March 14.
