Another month, another Helldivers 2 premium Warbond has come knocking.
This bad boy is called Democratic Detonation, and it looks like it comes straight from the demented mind of Michael Bay – because it’s all about that BOOM:
There are very few problems within the Helldivers universe that a good earth-shattering explosion can’t fix. With a myriad of weapons, strategems and even in-game doodads all ready and able to blast off a thunderous cacophony of fire and fury, you’d imagine it’d take some convincing to add new instruments to that loud symphony of destruction.
But you better believe that Arrowhead has thought about this, because we got some fun new toys joining the chorus:
- BR-14 Adjudicator Rifle
Deliver righteous judgement to your enemies with accuracy. This armour-penetrating assault rifle is best used against smaller groups. - R-36 Eruptor Rifle
Keep your distance… this bolt-action rifle fires jet-assisted shells that explode shrapnel in all directions upon impact. All directions. Even your face. - CB-9 Exploding Crossbow
Kaboom! Enjoy powerful exploding bolts that dish out max damage upon direct impact. Gravity must be accounted for when aiming. - G-123 Thermite Grenade
This little beauty can stick to surfaces before burning up to a toasty 2000°C. - GP-31 Grenade Pistol
Does what it says on the label – a pistol that fires grenades. Don’t forget to reload between shots though.
The pistol in particular has me excited – most recently I have been running grenades and support weapons that do not have the iconic BOOM outcome when fired (seriously, those Stun Grenades are really neato) and when a bug hole is presented to me, all I can do is weep. Sacrificing my pistol slot may be a grand option for ensuring I have a way to KABLAM those bug vomiting orifices.
Provided I don’t fall in love with that wonderful exploding crossbow, or that delightfully burny new sticky grenade.
As always, this premium Warbond will require a purchase with in-game Super Credits – so if you are remiss to open your wallet, keep an eye out in game for sub-objectives that will reward you with this currency for when the Democratic Detonation rolls out to your Destroyer’s Acquisitions panel on April 11.
