With any luck, you have some time off over the holiday month and into the new year. If you do, fantastic, the gaming subscription services will give you something to do while you kick your feet up. If you don’t, the same services will hopefully provide enough entertainment during your small bouts of downtime between shifts to prepare you for the next onslaught. The final hurrah for Game Pass is a sizeable one, with this next wave bringing with it one of Xbox’s big first-party titles that we’re all hoping will be a banger. There are no prizes for pointing out the big fish this month. All these years on, after some movie sequels of questionable quality, Indiana Jones endures as one of the most recognisable characters in film. His adventures undoubtedly inspired the likes of Uncharted and Tomb Raider, but the archeologist’s games have been…a mixed bag. Developed by Machine Games, we’re hoping that The Great Circle might buck that trend and give us an Indy game worthy of being put in a museum.
In our preview for The Great Circle, we said, “Without a doubt, fans of Indiana Jones, and adventure games in general, are likely to find a lot to like in The Great Circle. I don’t want to go the early crow and say that this is a single-player game Xbox players have been waiting years for, but it’s certainly having a crack at it.”
Which of these titles will you be playing? What would you like to see added later in the month? Let us know in the comments or on our social media.
