Here Are The New Titles Coming To Xbox Game Pass In January

From the sidewalk to the stars

Alright 2022, let’s get going. A new year often means dusting off your pile of shame while you wait for new releases before inevitably getting distracted by something new and shiny. With that said, the new additions coming to Xbox Game Pass in January will either make it easier for you to access games in your pile of shame, or they’ll end up being that distraction. One way or another, it was announced on Xbox Wire that a bunch of titles are being added to the service this month, including some indie darlings and heavy-hitters.

Here are the games coming to Xbox Game Pass in January 2022:

Available Now

  • Gorogoa (Console, PC, Cloud)
  • Oligia (Console, PC, Cloud)
  • The Pedestrian (Console, PC, Cloud)

January 6

  • Embr (Console, PC, Cloud)
  • Mass Effect Legendary Edition (Console, PC)
  • Outer Wilds (Console, PC, Cloud)

January 13

  • Spelunky 2 (Console, PC)
  • The Anacrusis – Game Preview (Console, PC)

You know the drill by now; as new games come in, some older games need to head out. Here are the games leaving the service this month:

January 15

  • Desperados III (Console, PC, Cloud)
  • Ghost of a Tale (PC)
  • Kingdom Hearts III (Console)
  • Mount & Blade: Warband (Console, PC, Cloud)
  • Pandemic (Console, PC)
  • Yiik: A Postmodern RPG (PC)

Hot damn, January is looking good for Game Pass subscribers. The big-ticket item here is definitely Mass Effect Legendary Edition, which should be a must-play for any RPG fan that hasn’t explored that universe already (we gave it a 9). Outside of Commander Shepherd’s exploits, there’s a great indie presence in January, with Outer Wilds and The Pedestrian (which we gave an 8) both being worth a play for different reasons.
