Developer Team Cherry has announced that Hollow Knight: Silksong will release on PS5, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Switch, Switch 2, and PC on September 4.
The Adelaide-based team put us out of our collective miseries with a short, two-minute trailer in the early hours of this morning. The release date trailer obvious have us the goods as far as a confirmed date is concerned, but it also came packed with footage of gameplay that is sure to make any fan of the original game blush.

After years of teases, with the most recent coming from Gamescom Opening Night Live just a few short days ago, it began to feel like an extended prank, but here we are.
For those who aren’t aware, Hollow Knight is a beautiful 2D action-platformer with a macabre world filled with bugs and hefty combat challenges. Many fell in love with its challenging gameplay and endearing cast of characters, so it’s no wonder the wait for the sequel has been excruciating.
