Into The Dead: Our Darkest Days’ Latest Update Adds New Character And Goes Back To Where The Outbreak Began

Another chunky update

New Zealand developer PikPok has dropped the latest update for its side-scrolling, 80s-themed survival game Into the Dead: Our Darkest Days, adding new characters and taking players to where the outbreak began.

Currently in Early Access, this update, titled Heart of Darkness, introduces Sgt. Bowman and Dr. Stanfield, who give players access to new narrative turns and moral choices, as the player endeavours to guide their survivors to Pickett Stadium, ground zero for the outbreak in Walton, Texas.

With Heart of Darkness, PikPok promises high-stakes stealth and more emotionally complex decision-making, emphasising the studio’s commitment to ongoing improvements and updates during its Early Access period.
