It’s Hard Work Playing As A Chair In Overwatch 2

Chairing is caring

It’s that time again; as an Overwatch 2 season starts to hit it’s later days, you can expect a whacky game mode to keep your spirits high. In this case, you can now step foot into the madcap mayhem that is Mischief & Magic.

An elaborate game of hide and seek, one team are seeker Genji’s – the other, mischievous Kiriko’s that can turn into ordinary objects. Your mission: Eliminate the haunted furnishings, or elude the rampaging ninjas.

Yeah, it’s classic Prop Hunt – Blizzard style.

Prop Hunt is an absolutely wild time, best enjoyed with mates who can all appreciate the absurdity – the earliest incarnation of such an experience (at least by my recollection) started in Garry’s Mod, and soon carried over to other Valve Source games like Team Fortress 2 and Counter-Strike.

The Blizzard flavour has a few tweaks to the formula, such as the inclusion of a Marco/Polo system – where the hiding Kiriko players will be forced to taunt periodically, giving a sound cue to their hidey hole. This is admittedly fine, but it does take some of the enjoyment out of nailing an especially epic hiding place.

Only this turned into a horror film when the Genji team came crashing into the joint, and began slaying my buttock-bearing brethren.

So I used an AoE stun ability and fled. But alas they had a man waiting outside. Still, a great time to be had by all.

On occasion will make a youtube video that actually gets views.
