The Uncharted Waters update for the Brisbane-made Len’s Island, which adds a ton of new content for the Early Access title, is now live.
Len’s Island’s developer, Flow Studio, explains that the update is the biggest yet, with team rebuilding the game from the ground up to make Len’s Island a bigger and better experience.
Len’s Island first released in Early Access in November 2021 and offers players a unique cocktail of genres, including farming, dungeon crawling, exploration and building.
The Uncharted Waters update is a free update for those who already own the title and includes the following content:
- 10 new dungeons
- 30 new islands
- Unique weather system
- New biomes
- A new levelling and XP system
In other exciting news for the Brisbane studio, sales of Len’s Island have now reached 100,000, which is a huge achievement for the team of five developers.
Speaking with WellPlayed, Flow Studio founder Julian Ball says he’s excited that team is getting closer to realising the full vision for Len’s Island.
“The Uncharted Waters update is the first big step to push Len’s Island closer to the final game. I’d consider Len’s Island currently half complete, and to get so much positive feedback, and people enjoying the game for dozens and dozens of hours on this ‘half complete’ update is outstanding. The community sees our vision clearly now and are invested in the world we are creating. 100,000 copies is a lot for a small indie studio, but also miniscule for a game at the scale which we are creating. I’m excited to keep making Len’s Island better and better so we can share it with 100,000 more.”
