As a big fan of point-and-click adventures, Brisbane-based developer Bang Bang Bang Interactive’s debut game Lone Pine has more than piqued my interest.
In Lone Pine you play as outdoor enthusiast Izzie, who’s also an aspiring photographer, and you’ve travelled to Lone Pine National Park to try and capture some of the mysterious cryptids on film. However, Mother Nature rears her ugly head with a storm breaking out, and Izzie discovers that things at Lone Pine are not what they seem. But can she uncover the mystery will finding her way home?
With gorgeous hand-drawn visuals, fully voiced Australian actors, and a story with two endings with creatures based on real world folklore and mythology, Lone Pine is one for point-and-clickers to keep an eye on when it launches on PC next year.

Despite a childhood playing survival horrors, point and clicks and beat ’em ups, these days Zach tries to convince people that Homefront: The Revolution is a good game while pining for a sequel to The Order: 1886 and a live-action Treasure Planet film.
