As the hustle and bustle of AAA gaming continues to favour sequels and capitalism, the bedrock of game development has always been the developers at the coalface – those who make games to scratch a creative itch and not purely for financial reward. One of the genres that continues to flourish in this regard is the point-and-click adventure, a genre that has had its heyday in the limelight but is now kept alive by passionate developers making exciting and creative experiences. Every year tons of adventures are released, making it hard to keep track of them all. I’ve picked out 12 upcoming titles targeting 2026 that you might have missed and are worth adding to your Wishlist.

It’s always hard to pick just 12 titles, as there are many more that could have been added to this list. Especially as several from last year’s list slipped to 2026. But these are 12 that have made the cut this year and I’m sticking by it. However, if you think there’s a game that I’ve missed please let me know in the comments.
Despite a childhood playing survival horrors, point and clicks and beat ’em ups, these days Zach tries to convince people that Homefront: The Revolution is a good game while pining for a sequel to The Order: 1886 and a live-action Treasure Planet film.
