Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra Gets A Proper First Look With A Cinematic Trailer

An awesome first look

The first trailer for Skydance New Media’s Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra has debuted during the State of Unreal showcase.

Originally teased as a narrative-driven action-adventure title back when the partnership between Marvel and Skydance New Media was announced, it was later confirmed that the game would feature heroes Captain America and Black Panther. Now given a title, Rise of Hydra is set during the Second World War and will include four playable characters, with a young Steve Rogers sharing the limelight with T’Challa’s grandfather, the Black Panther of the time, Azzuri. The two heavy hitters will be joined by US soldier and Howling Commander Gabriel Jones, as well as the Wakandan spy Nanali.

While it doesn’t include any gameplay, this first trailer certainly sets the scene, showing various locales and pitting Wakanda’s Protector and the Red, White and Blue Boyscout against each other as they get in each other’s way. The end of the trailer also confirms that we can expect to play Rise of Hydra in 2025.
