Max Caulfield Returns In Life Is Strange: Double Exposure This October

Max’s life can’t get any weirder, can it?

The next entry in the Life is Strange series was announced during this morning’s Xbox Showcase, and it revealed the surprise return of former lead character Max Caulfield in an all-new sequel, Life is Strange: Double Exposure.

Now a university student, Max’s world is again turned inside out when her close friend is found murdered. Determined to uncover the truth, she resorts to a power she hasn’t used in years, only to find it’s changed to the point where she can venture into an alternate reality. Here, her friend is alive and well, and the two must work together to solve the mystery.

We get a brief look at Max’s new abilities in the reveal trailer, splitting time and space in two. Though what repercussions this may have remains unknown, you’ll be able to discover clues across both plains of existence and follow potential suspects. You’ll likely also be making good use of Max’s photography skills if the play-on-words title is anything to go by.

Life is Strange: Double Exposure is set to release on October 29 on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC from the team at Deck Nine.
