Microsoft Flight Simulator Gets A Release Date And A Number Of Different Editions

Get set to hit the skies

We’re all grounded at the moment with the current travel restrictions that are in place, but soon we’ll be able to satiate our hunger for travel digitally. Xbox Games Studios and Asobo Studios has announced that Microsoft Flight Simulator will be releasing on PC on August 18. It’s important to note that this release includes the PC version of Xbox Game Pass (which you can pre-install now).

There are three different versions of Microsoft Flight Simulator that are up for preorder now. All of the airports (which number over 37,000) will be included in each edition, but the Deluxe and Premium Deluxe editions will include more detailed ‘hand-crafted’ airports as well as a number of different aircraft.

The Standard Edition will include 20 planes and 30 hand-crafted airports and will set you back A$99.95. The Deluxe Edition will include 25 planes and 35 airports and run you A$139.95 and lastly, the Premium Deluxe Edition will feature 30 planes and 40 airports for A$179.95. But what airports and planes will be in each edition I hear you ask? Not to worry, I’ve got you covered:

Still keen for more Flight Sim? Well luckily for you there’s a brand new trailer to put your peepers on and it’s gorgeous, give it a look:

ARVE Error: Mode: lazyload not available (ARVE Pro not active?), switching to normal mode

It’s good to see that Sydney Airport will be included in the Standard Edition, but are there any other airports of planes that you’re keen to get amongst in Microsoft Flight Simulator? What edition will you be picking up? Let us know.
