Next Yakuza Game Confirmed Via Casting Call

Creators of the Yakuza series, Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio, have confirmed today via a post that a new game will be coming to the world of Yakuza. Featuring new protagonist, Ichiban Kasuga, this game will take place in the “New Yakuza Series”, taking place after the events of Yakuza 6: The Song of Life.

This announcement came along side Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio stating that they holding auditions for a female lead for the upcoming title. The character is set to play the partner of Ichiban Kasuga. Not only does the successful applicant get to perform for the game, but they will also participate in promotional activities and receive a prize of 1 million yen.

With the release of the spin-off game, Judgment, in the west currently slated for this June, I am very happy to see that the studio has plans to further expand the world of Yakuza with new characters and a new story.
