Oh Heck, Diablo Immortal Is Turning Three Years Old Already

Feels like only yesterday that Diablo Immortal was making the rounds of gaming news – surprising everyone by being a reasonably neat pocket-sized Diablo experience and terrifying others that dared take to their napkins to crunch monetary numbers.

But, a whole three years later, the forces of hell are still alive and kicking on mobile (and PC, because maybe we don’t all have phones).

To celebrate this fiendish feat, a ‘Trial of True Evils’ will take place within the game – allowing brave adventures the chance to face off against Skarn, The Butcher, Baal, and the Lord of Terror himself, Diablo. Apparently one will be scaled to your level, so nobody misses out on the throw-down showdown – provided you are level 30 or above, that is. There will be a new contender every few days, but if you are really feeling up to the challenge you can apparently fight all four in a back-to-back experience towards in final days of the event if you really want to test your mettle.

You can also get your hands on a new Legendary Gem, handed out to players that link their Diablo Immortal and Battle.net accounts, which I am only just learning is a thing – while all players can get themselves a Baby Butcher look for the in-game pet, meaning your meat-loving friend can follow you everywhere. They even named him Butchie.

I am not making that up.

Things will kick off on June 2, so if you haven’t checked in on Diablo Immortal in a hot minute this may be a good minute to do so.
