The Diablo IV X Berserk Collab Nose What The Players Want

They didn’t blow it

Just a few short days ago we learned that the first Diablo IV IP collaboration was going to be with the legendary Berserk manga, and now we can feast our eyes on what to expect from it.

There are a handful of things that make you say “Oh yes, of course” – and then are things that make you say “Oh my god, the madmen actually did it.

But overall, this is a pretty banger first effort for a collaboration.

Becoming available on 7 May AEST, players can jump in to the game to slay demons and earn sinister Behelits – eggy dudes that can be collected and then used to earn Berserk themed cosmetics.

Of these cosmetics, players will recognise things like Skull Knight armour for your mount or the glowing flesh Brand of Sacrifice Marking – a searing red neck sigil that looks equal part badarse and painful:

Of course, for those that want to drop some coin you can allow yourself the ultimate Berserk fantasy – donning the following wicked getups:

  • Berserker Armor for the Barbarian
  • The Hawk of Light for Rogue
  • The Struggler for Rogue
  • The Skull Knight for Necromancer

And they look every bit as cool as you might expect:

Of course, the star of the show is the incredible Schnoz Pet Bundle, as seen in the feature image of this very article.

A goofy little gremlin that is more snooter than anything else, the “chimimoryo” only appeared in one episode of the Berserk manga – but quickly took a hold of the hearts of readers. When the Berserk collab news came out, many joked that a Schnoz appearance would be cool but unlikely – yet here we are, with the snout absolutely coming to the blood-soaked soil of Sanctuary. Awesome.

All this and more is coming as part of the Diablo IV’s Season 8 content – which will see the return of beloved series baddie Belial as well as a hairless cat covered in eyeballs for your adventuring efforts:

If you are a Berserk fan or even just a Diablo IV fan, it’s easy to see why this collab made sense for the team to pursue. Sure, I would have liked a few more cosmetic freebies – but the quality of the paid skins is kind of bananas, so I can’t really complain. That Skull Knight armour for the Necromancer has me wanting to revisit my undead hordes real soon.
