Outriders Worldslayer Broadcast Details The Expansion’s Endgame Content

The end is coming to Enoch

A new broadcast for Outriders Worldslayer has dropped, detailing the endgame content found within the expansion.

Back in April, we got the announcement of Outriders Worldslayer, a huge new expansion for the third-person shooter. This announcement went over the new campaign, enemies, gear, class systems and environments that’ll be present in Worldslayer, but the endgame was only teased.

This morning’s broadcast has filled in the gaps with a deep dive on Worldslayers’ endgame mode, The Trial of Tarya Gratar. This brutal, post-campaign offering provides players with a heightened challenge with a brand new area of the map, unique enemies and terrifying bosses. Outriders will be able to kit themselves out at the base camp, set up just outside the Trial area, where they can alter their gear and prepare for the coming battle.

Once you enter Tarya Gratar, there’s no turning back. This replayable dungeon features branching paths that lead to a variety of different enemies, encounters and loot items. The Trial will become more difficult as you progress, with deadlier enemies showing up to try and halt your progress. The Shadowbeasts are one of the foes specific to Tarya Gratar. A four-legged, fast-moving assassin, these ugly fellas can cloak themselves, becoming completely invisible to sneak up and deal heavy damage to the player. Worse still, these rotten things can lock the player’s abilities using a specific attack, so keep your eye on them.

Scattered throughout the Trials are Troves. These escalated encounters turn the difficulty to another level, but they reward successful players with rarer and more powerful loot. Each different Trove will be focused on a specific gear piece (such as helmets or chest pieces), giving players a more targeted way to farm specific Legendary loot items. Completing a Trial will, of course, reward you with great loot, but Troves remove some of the die rolling and allow you to hunt for those specific Apocalypse gear pieces.

In order to progress through each Trial, Outriders will need to face new and formidable bosses. Tarya Gratar will feature a number of new bosses and mechanics within their fights, including the badarse inky knight in today’s broadcast.

The new Apocalypse gear and PAX levelling found within Worldslayer will be vital when taking on the Trials. The new Legendary gear sets not only add a new slot for abilities, but they also buff existing skills, raising your offensive capabilities. We also get a quick look at the endgame Path of Ascension progression system that kicks in after level 30. Putting points into Brutality, Endurance, Prowess or Anomaly, players can continue to grow in strength far beyond the end of the campaign.
