So the Overwatch 2 Anniversary Event is underway, with all manner of fun activities and great rewards to enjoy.
Only some of those rewards were bugged, and then subsequently disabled. Due to a weird multiplication issue, the retro coin currency (not the premium one) was being awarded at a large rate to some players. So, those coin rewards got disabled for investigation.
What Blizzard discovered must have been some curly stuff to fix, because instead of repairing whatever was busted – they instead have chosen to just give every player who logs in during the first week of Season 7 a whopping 3000 credits for their trouble.
The Anniversary Credits shop will continue to be live through October 16, and we’re going to have more skins and other content in the Credit shop starting on October 10.
More details coming soon on that! (2/2)

These coins can be used to unlock the majority of pre-existing Overwatch content, with a handful of new items that also got an updated price tag – such as the new items that have been put in the special anniversary shop. Speaking of, the duration of this limited shop will be extended so people can splash their newfound retro cash at their leisure.
So, make sure you log on between October 10 and October 17 to grab your splash of cash.
