For the masses of Overwatch 2 there has been an overt amount of starvation for new character lore – and while a crashed escape pod was a neat little taster, everyone wanted some actual meat.
And a more sturdy course has been served up, with a little narrative piece introducing us all to Juno, the Martian lass who has made her way back to Earth to try and help her colony.
With a pretty focused look at Juno and how she approaches problems, we get to know her personality traits and how quickly she can spiral into a state of hopelessness. But, like all great falls – Juno picks herself up, solves her issues and starts her epic journey.
There are some larger questions here – such as why her Martian colony is no longer safe, and the purpose for her going back to Earth (though one can assume it is to seek help).
It’s great to get back into the world-building portion of Overwatch, particularly when all reports coming out of Blizzard painted a grim picture. Bring on more lore bites.
