Developer Ironwood Studios has dropped a new gameplay trailer for their upcoming survival game, Pacific Drive, that’s set to release in 2023 for PS5 and PC.
Revealed during the PlayStation State of Play back in September 2022, Pacific Drive is a unique survival game that has you driving through dangerous environments in a customisable station wagon, attempting to avoid all manner of obstacles and other nasties.
The three-minute gameplay trailer gives us our best look at the game yet, showing the player bombing through the Olympic Exclusion Zone and repairing their wagon along the way. Running into various dangers, including what is being referred to as Anomalies, the trusty vehicle gets pretty banged up, necessitating some more extensive repairs and upgrades that are completed in the garage. Billed as a run-based survival game, Pacific Drive has more than a few similarities to a roguelike that were detailed in this short-but-sweet trailer.
