Ōkami is iconic and unique in the video game world, and unfortunately has never received a true sequel. Apparently that is about to change. Ikumi Nakamura, who worked on the original Ōkami and recently departed Tango Gameworks, tweeted today that she plans to partner with Platinum Game’s Hideki Kamiya on an Ōkami sequel. It will probably take a while but here’s hoping it will happen and be awesome.

I hope that this game becomes a reality.
