TeamKill Media, the developer behind the upcoming first-person shooter horror title Quantum Error has announced that it has cancelled the PS4 version of the game.
Announced via Twitter (sorry, X), the developer said it had made the decision was made due to quality issues, with the game’s performance on the older hardware nowhere near the quality of the PS5, and that it would “not be fair to PS4 players.”

Quantum Error has been in development for a few years now, but TeamKill Media has revealed recently that the game is “pretty much done” and should have a release date soon.
Development is pretty much done at this point 😎 we are a hair away from going gold.
We are going through a bunch of final approval type stuff before the game can be officially sellable.

If this is the first you’re hearing about Quantum Error, the premise is as follows. When a research facility set 30 miles off the shore of California is attacked by an unknown entity and engulfed in flames, the Garboa Fire Department in San Francisco sends Captain Jacob Thomas and Shane Costa to save as many people as possible. However, upon arrival it turns out that things are not what they seem, beginning a cosmic-horror mission to survive.
TeamKill Media released a new gameplay video recently to celebrate the game’s almost readiness.
I don’t know about you but I am pretty damn keen to get my hands on Quantum Error. Firefighters and horror sounds like a winning combo, plus the last good fireman-related game I can think of was Rosco McQueen: Firefighter Extreme on PS1.
Quantum Error will hopefully launch in 2023 on PS5, PC and Xbox Series X|S.
