Respawn Could Be Working On An Apex Legends Single-Player Game According To Job Listings

Could the Legends be making a solo outing?

According to recent job listings found on Respawn Entertainment’s careers page, a single-player Apex Legends title might be in the works.

As spotted by Dextero, the listing for a Senior Engine/Systems Engineer – C++ – mentions that “As a Senior Systems Engineer (Apex Universe FPS Incubation Title) you will design, build, and maintain technology that enables the team to create engaging gameplay and fantastic experiences.”

The mention of an Apex Universe FPS Incubation title alone doesn’t immediately confirm that the unannounced project is a single-player game, but numerous other listings on the page refer to a “brand new Respawn single-player adventure” that could well and truly be the same project.

Sure, this could also be yet another new game in development at Respawn, as they’re already working on Star Wars Jedi: Survivor while also providing support for Apex, but I don’t think anyone would be surprised to see Apex branching out into the single-player space.

Originally spinning off from Titanfall, Apex has grown in popularity to surpass its origin, so the mention of this new Incubation Title being set in the Apex Universe rather than the Titanlfall Universe isn’t too shocking. Though many would love to see a Titanfall 3, it does seem more likely that Respawn would capitalise on the success of Apex moving forward.

Would you like to see a single-player Apex game? Or would you prefer to see Titanfall 3? Let us know in the comments or on our social media.
