Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 Delayed Again

Every real sniper knows you need to be well optimised for optimum performance

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, the deadeye dick franchise from Polish publishers and developers CI Games (Lords of the Fallen) has been delayed further into 2017. CI Games announced that the game’s release date will shift from its previous date of January 27, 2017 to the new global release date of April 4, 2017.

Marek Tymiński, CEO of CI Games, said that the decision to further delay the title was to ensure the best possible optimisation for all three platforms (PC, PS4 and XB1) when the game launches.

We’re making an ambitious game and unfortunately still need an extra few months to make sure it will stand up to the expectations of the fans. Our goal is to ensure Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3 runs smoothly on all platforms, and right now we still have some important work left on optimizing the game. This is our biggest project we’ve ever worked on and the entire team is pushing really hard to make the entire experience more polished. I really hope everyone will understand our decision and will wait the extra time to play something we’re excited about, and that will redefine our IP and the sniping genre as a whole. This is a new beginning for the Sniper: Ghost Warrior series.

Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3, which was originally slated for a late 2016 release, follows the series’ new protagonist, John North, as he attempts to track down his brother in the Eastern European country of Georgia. In order to complete your mission, players will traverse large open-world maps, have access to an array of weapon customisation options and channel one of the three different play styles available (Sniper, Ghost and the Warrior), or mix them together to be the ultimate lethal warrior of the shadows.
