After being delayed indefinitely in May, CI Games has tonight announced that Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 will release on PS5 on August 24, 2021.
The Polish-based studio confirmed that those who bought the PS4 version of SGWC2 will have access to a free upgrade to the PS5 version, with the PS5 version offering the following perks:
- DualSense adaptive trigger support
- Improved loading times
- Improved textures and visuals
- Ability to play in either performance mode (60fps, 2K) or visual mode (30fps, 4k)
Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 initially launched on PS4, Xbox Series X&S, Xbox One and PC on June 4, and in our review we scored it an 8.5, with yours truly saying that “Sniper Ghost Warrior Contracts 2 builds on the foundations laid by its predecessor and elevates the series to new heights thanks to satisfying long-range sniping and impressive level design.”
