Sonic Superstars Looks Incredible And Further Complicates October’s Releases

Gotta go fast… with friends!

Sonic Superstars dropped a stunning ‘World Premiere Trailer’ at Gamescom opening night, showcasing the stellar multiplayer animal action that awaits when it drops on October 17.

Yeah that’s right, it’s releasing alongside all the other blockbuster games that are coming in the later month of the year – soon to be renamed ‘Stockedtober’ because it is stocked to the gills.

The incredible trailer shows some of the high-speed multiplayer action promised in the game – as well as some fun opportunities to make your very own Sonic friend to play as. It doesn’t look quite as nightmarish as the Sonic Forces offering, but really that may be for the best.

There is also a smorgasbord of neat multiplayer options in the form of a battle mode, with all manner of madcap weirdness to experience or subject your friends to.

The best part? The somewhat lacking music from the initial trailer is nowhere to be seen (heard?) – the backing track for the new trailer absolutely bops, and suggests that we may be in for another great set of Sonic tunes.

I have no idea how I will find time to play it – but you best believe I will be getting my speed on as soon as convenient.

What did you think of the premiere trailer? Do you have some friends in mind for frenetic four player Sonic fun? Let us know in the comments or on social media.
