Whether you be a kid, or a squid, September brings good times. Nintendo has just dropped the news that Splatoon 3 will be releasing on the Nintendo Switch on September 9, 2022. This news came alongside some new gameplay of the Turf War game mode being played in this anticipated entry into the paint-based shooter. Those who have played the previous entries already know what to expect, but it does at least give fans a look at one of the new maps being made for the 4v4 game mode, Eeltail Alley

If competitive multiplayer isn’t your thing, don’t worry! Splatoon 3 will ship with a fully fledged single-player campaign, and the franchise’s take on a Horde Mode, Salmon Run.
In addition to this announcement, it was also revealed that Splatoon 2’s Octo Expansion will be joining the likes of Animal Crossing: New Horizon’s Happy Home DLC and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Wave 1 as a part of the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack as of today.
