Star Wars Jedi: Survivor Will Be Making Its Way To PS4 And Xbox One

Survivor is getting some last-gen love

EA has confirmed that the action-adventure game Star Wars Jedi: Survivor will be releasing on PS4 and Xbox One in the future.

As reported by Video Game Chronicle, EA confirmed during its Q1 2024 earnings call that a last-gen port of the follow-up to Jedi: Fallen Order is currently “in development.” CEO Andrew Wilson stated during the call, “Thanks to the strength of this legendary franchise and community demand, our development team has committed to bringing this Jedi experience to PS4 and Xbox One.”

Seeing as though the original game was released on the PS4 and Xbox One back in 2019 (we gave Fallen Order a 9), this move makes a lot of sense, as it will give those who played Fallen Order but still don’t have a PS5 or Xbox Series X|S a chance to see how the story continues.

While I’m glad the game will be accessible to more Star Wars fans, I do wonder what concession will be made to get the game to run on the older hardware, as certain sequences will surely be too much for the aging consoles. Nevertheless, it’s great news for those who can’t play Survivor but wish to.

In our review of Star Wars Jedi: Survivor, we said, “Challenging combat, rewarding platforming, engaging exploration and a surprisingly unique story has Survivor in the conversation for the best Star Wars game ever released.” We gave the game a 9.
