Starfield Has Officially Gone Gold; Preloading Begins Very Soon

A golden age of exploration

Developer Bethesda has announced that the highly-anticipated RPG Starfield has gone gold ahead of its September 6 release date.

Taking to X (Twitter), Bethesda has confirmed that the core development for Starfield has wrapped, allowing the game to move to the next stage of production. Furthermore, the developer revealed that players will be able to preload the install for Starfield from tomorrow, depending on your platform of choice. For us here in Aus, those playing on Xbox Series X|S will be able to preload the game from August 18, while Steam users can get in on the action from August 31.
